Natureculture Learning Sites

The excursion brings HFBK students to observe, research and embody the current biocultural complexity and possible futures from two natureculture learning sites: Floating University in Berlin and Zakole Wawerskie in Warsaw. Drawing from parallel experiences of working in such environments – a major water infrastructure reclaimed by urban nature and its subsequent cultural, artistic and pedagogical re-activation – both projects advocate for ideas on other-than-human rights to the city and biocultural restorative urban planning.
The trip also offered participants encounters with a wide array of cultural and spatial producers in the form of site-visits, conversations and by simply cooking and eating together.
